As part of our Keep the Music Playing campaign, we have no shortage of live streams coming up for your eyes and ears.
Of course, that means plenty of UMC Quarantine Jams. However, it also means another Facebook Live takeover, as well as our May edition of the Underground Writers Round, brought to you virtually once more.
The full list is after the jump. Dig in!
At the moment, maybe we can’t all be together face-to-face. Even so, technology can help us share the music with one another.
Watch The Round
With events in Nashville and nationwide being canceled left and right as a result of the ongoing Coronavirus outbreak, we have concluded alongside our partners at AGD Entertainment (Zero To 60 By AGD) that it is in the best interests of everyone — staff, performers, and patrons alike — to postpone our March 20 Underground Writers Round. We find that the best way to prevent worsening the outbreak is to prevent it from entering the building, and there are a lot of unknowns about who might currently be carrying the virus. We are gutted that we have to do this, especially considering the charitable nature of this month’s event, but we do feel it is the responsible decision for all involved.
We will be rescheduling all of these performers in conjunction with AGD Entertainment at a future round to be determined. Also, we will be setting up a link for those who wish to donate to Hands On Nashville, whose disaster recovery efforts from the March 3 tornadoes still continue.
We appreciate your understanding, and hope to be able to return to Douglas Corner Cafe for our next scheduled round on Friday, April 17.

As we begin to sort through the early March chaos, we’ve returned to our inbox to find many wonderful submissions.
Translation: this week’s UMC20 is stacked.
Listen to UMC20
In the wake of the tornadoes that devastated Middle Tennessee in the early morning hours of March 3, all of us — UMC, AGD Entertainment, and the performers — have decided to donate all door proceeds from our upcoming Underground Writers Round at Douglas Corner Cafe to disaster relief efforts in the area.
All funds collected at the door on Friday, March 20 will be donated directly to Hands On Nashville, a local non-profit and one of the many organizations spearheading recovery and cleanup efforts following the storms that damaged much of our region. Hands On Nashville is working hard to coordinate volunteer projects throughout the city, and we wish to provide resources to help them continue this critical work.
We encourage you to learn more about the work of Hands On Nashville and get involved at their website. And, we look forward to seeing you at Douglas Corner on Friday, March 20 at 9 p.m. for a $5 suggested donation.
We have a late-breaking update to the lineup for our next Underground Writers Round, in the form of a substitution.
It seemed like just last week that we were at Nashville’s historic Douglas Corner Cafe, celebrating the first Underground Writers Round of a new year and decade.
Oh, right. We were just there.
Well, at any rate, how about we keep the good times rolling by telling you who’s performing on our February edition?
Meet the Writers
We know what you’re probably thinking…
“What time is my favorite January 2020 Underground Writers Round performer playing this Friday night at the historic Douglas Corner Cafe?”
We’re glad you asked! We have the time slots all figured out, and you can take a look at the official event poster after the jump to find them.

You may have noticed that we announced our November 15 Underground Writers Round lineup this past Friday. You also may have noticed that Lazer and Levi will be a part of the festivities.
Hear Monday’s daily Spinn
As we excitedly announced at (and immediately after) this past Friday’s inaugural Underground Writers Round at Douglas Corner Cafe, we have plans to make our independent songwriter showcase a pretty regular thing from here on out.
