PHOTOS: Lehigh Valley Underground First Friday Concert Series One-Year Anniversary

The one-year anniversary of #LVUFirstFriday was wild — and wildly successful.

Weather shifted most of our outdoor plans indoors on Friday night, which meant that The Beautiful Distortion performed as an acoustic trio inside Comfort Suites Hill to Hill Grille. Eighteenth Hour, meanwhile, found an eventual home at Tally Ho Tavern, who graciously took on the popular veteran rockers for a fun acoustic set.

We gave away a C.F. Martin Road Series guitar, which was won by Lehigh University student Connor Cragon in between performances from Alex Obeid and The Beautiful Distortion. We also featured performances around town from Brian Kibler at Molly’s Irish Grille & Sports Pub, Payton Renee at The Banana Factory, The Jazz Hands at The Funhouse, Darin Jellison at Domaci, and the 610 Underground Electronic Dance Party at Color Me Mine Lehigh Valley to close out the evening.

A big thank you to our truly amazing community partners at SouthSide Arts District, who approached us last year with this vision to make South Bethlehem a brighter, more vibrant place, and who work tirelessly alongside us to ensure that local musicians get their opportunities to shine, no matter what.
