In continuing the love toward the artists we heard at Mercy Lounge last Thursday, how about a Daily Spinn from Daisha McBride?

The Nashville-based hip hop artist did an exceptional job of warming the crowd up, and even came back later in the evening to support Talia Stewart on her song, “Run It,” alongside blues rock guitarist Sam Johnston.

Today, though, we’re going to highlight something from Daisha’s recent album, Wild. “Grow Up” is a moody and authentic look at the struggles of starting out on your own, and of trying to balance a dream with the real-world responsibilities that come at us quickly upon entry.
