The Quinn’s Daily Spinn: Friday, May 29

On Monday, we celebrate our first New Episode Release Day (N.E.R.D.) of June, when The Quinn Spinn welcomes Nashville-based producer and musician Gavin Shea to the show.

If that name sounds familiar to you, it’s probably because you know his work as one half of Handmade Productions here in Music City. Or, perhaps, you’ve read about Gavin here, by way of his electro-soul project, Richard String.

Well, it just so happens that there’s a new Richard String single out as of last Friday, titled “P.E.” The single — a mellow, spacey jam about growing more capable of love — carries the cool vibe we’ve come to expect from a Richard String tune. I’m particularly fond of the bass line, which thumps along with a groove so steady and infectious that I could listen to it all day.

If you love this, just wait until our conversation drops this Monday. Without giving too much away, this conversation goes well beyond music, diving into other art forms and nuances of creative life. I dare say, this might be one of our most interesting conversations of all-time, in any era.

While you wait, head to “P.E.” with today’s Daily Spinn!
