Where Did It Get You, to ‘Swallow That Pill?’
As long as we’re still breathing, we always have a choice. Sometimes, we just need a wake-up call.
With that said, we have a new tune that is going to confront you as abruptly as an alarm clock on Monday morning, from Los Angeles-based grunge punks Tarah Who?
The duo — consisting of vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Tarah G. Carpenter and drummer Coralie Hervé — pull no punches on “Swallow That Pill.” Carpenter uses this single as an opportunity directly question everything about the “rat race” lifestyle we fall into during our professional lives. The tense, high-octane punk soundscape dials up the urgency, imploring listeners to take their power back from the 9-to-5 — before it is too late.
“We have all been told at least once in our lives that we have to ‘face the music,’ or that we don’t have a choice. However, every decision that we make is a choice,” Carpenter said. “You may not like the outcome, but whatever experience you go through in your life, it is your decision to make to keep doing it or to quit.”
The choice is yours.
