One of the greatest superpowers we can master is to let go of that which we cannot control.

For Los Angeles-based duo Von Boyáge, this life lesson brought with it the inspiration for their new single, “Laissez Faire.” The charming and effusive alt-pop tune helps us let go, utilizing exotic synths, vibey tropical percussion, and warm acoustic guitars underneath the cool, reverb-kissed vocals of frontman Christopher Hocker.

Hocker notes that “Laissez Faire” came about after he noticed a long-term relationship turning sour after becoming long-distance

“Sometimes in life, it is best to adopt a ‘Laissez Faire’ approach and stop trying to control everything,” Hocker said. “Letting nature take its course is sometimes the best policy.”
