PHOTOS: Borrowed Sparks, The Garden of Eden, and The Dirty Delusions at The 5 Spot
Saturday night was a new adventure for our Live from the 615 series. It was the first time we hosted a show at East Nashville’s legendary venue, The 5 Spot.
Our dance partners for this endeavor were Nashville-based rock bands Borrowed Sparks, The Garden of Eden, and The Dirty Delusions. Oh, and about 100 or so fans of live, original rock and roll who came through the venue’s doors to enjoy the show. All of the above added up to one of our favorite nights in Nashville so far. Period.
Borrowed Sparks kicked things off with their tight brand of heartland rock and roll. The band — fronted by songwriter and guitarist Mike Bay — performed their first live, in-person show as a unit with us on Saturday, and brought a brilliant sense poise and chemistry to the stage. The Garden of Eden came through next. Led by singer and guitarist Scotty Chapman, the quartet lit up the stage with electrifying riffs and a bombastic energy throughout their set.
Speaking of bombastic energy, The Dirty Delusions closed things out with the late set, delivering the passion and firepower that has become their calling card in the wake of their latest album, Too Young For Love.
Let’s take a look at the action, shall we? Check it out below!
