We are now within a week of the American Cancer Society’s Wings & Strings benefit on Saturday, July 28. The day-long event will feature local food, local beer, and local music from an all-star lineup of the Valley’s performers.
One of those performers, Kristen Morgenstern, typically sings with soul group Desire. This Saturday, she’ll briefly join Scott Marshall & Marshall’s Highway onstage, and took some time out to chat about the cause with us.
In January, Easton’s State Theatre Center for the Arts Hosted a successful debut to its Stage on Stage series with an Americana showcase featuring The Trongone Band with support from locals and LVMA winners, Acoustic Kitty Project.
This Saturday, the series returns to State Theatre with a bit of folk and bluegrass flair.
South Bethlehem’s Touchstone Theatre isn’t afraid to use satire to address controversy and make audiences think. Beginning on April 5 and continuing for two weekends, they’ll have another opportunity to do just that.
Last year, I didn’t have the chance to attend Touchstone Theatre’s Jakopa Punch Bowl. Lisa filled in for me and did a fantastic job, but I was bummed that I couldn’t make it, because it sounded like an interesting event and a great time.
I was right. Last night’s installment of the event was nothing short of fantastic.
After a successful kick-off last year, Touchstone Theatre presents its second concert fundraiser Jakopa’s Punch Bowl on Friday from 7-10 p.m. at the Charles A. Brown Ice House. This Mardi Gras-themed evening of eclectic music by three local bands, New Orleans-style lite fare, and all-you-can-drink beer and wine supports upcoming original works at Touchstone, including the April premiere of Dictators for Dummies.
South Bethlehem’s Touchstone Theatre is teaming up with Rockville, MD-based Happenstance Theater to host the latter’s original production, BrouHaHa.
